Would evaporated goats milk be alright to substitute for heavy cream?

I'm trying to make a mocha cheesecake and the recipe I have calls for 8 oz. heavy cream. I don't have any but I do have a can of evaporated goats milk. It says on the can that it can substitute for heavy cream in recipes, but I'm not sure if it will make the cheesecake taste funny or not.
