I'm Very very confused (would really like a guy's opinion)?

Last week my boyfriend broke up w/ me. He left me a message at like 1 in the mornin sayin that he doesnt want a girlfriend. it was kinda out of the blue but it wasnt really unexpected. but then a couple days after he texts me nd says that he thinks he made a mistake breakin up with me, but wen i asked him to explain, he was just like "nvm" so the next day i called him nd sed we needed to talk about it nd he sed that he just wants to be friends but he still loves me nd alla that. but even after that, he was still actin like he wants to be with me. then a couple of days after that he says he doesn't know if he made the right choice by sayin that he just wanted to be friends. now im very confused nd it seems like he dnt know if wants to be with me or not. wat's goin on?
