Mobile Facebook is not showing status updates; it only shows wall posts?

I just set-up my husband's facebook, and added his mobile app to his blackberry pearl. When he accesses facebook from his mobile it goes to his home page and only displays wall posts. When you click on the friends tabs it will show their status, but that is only way I have found to see them. He also doesn't have a "like" on. I have the blackberry curve and when I click on my home on it shows all updates, and I have a like on. Can anyone tell me how to make his home page show ALL updates not just wall postings???
