I've been looking for an anime that I used to have as a child that was Alice in wonderland-esque..?

The protagonist was a stubborn girl, and she meets a blue or green colored girl when she gets to this other world, where there's an evil witch. That's all I can remember. I would watch it in like 1995/1996, so it's older. The art work was almost reminiscent of Sailor Moon.
